Keytree help Barclaycard simplify Corporate Payments

Keytree has been selected to integrate Barclaycard Commercial Payments into SAP Ariba, the worlds’ largest Business-to-Business (B2B) marketplace. The new partnership between Barclaycard and SAP Ariba will be underpinned by Keytree’s expertise in delivering business transformational projects coupled with unparalleled skills in user experience – enabling Barclaycard to benefit fully from the Ariba Network.

The first Barclaycard product to launch in the SAP Ariba Network will be Precisionpay Bank Transfer, Barclaycard’s Business-to-Business product, which combines the perks of card payments for buyers with the cost-effectiveness of bank transfers for suppliers.

As the project progresses, buyers will soon have the ability to pay suppliers much earlier in the procurement cycle, using flexible capital funded by Barclaycard. This approach to payment will help improve supplier relationships and also give the buyer access to any prompt payment discounts. As a direct result, suppliers are paid straightaway – improving cash flow to help make the business more resilient.

Keytree links together Precisionpay & SAP Ariba

As the Systems Integrator for this ground breaking project, Keytree will be instrumental in bringing together procurement and payment in one place – the Ariba Network. Keytree will pull together all of the components provided by SAP and make them available to Barclaycard so payments can pass through the Ariba Network, providing users with an end-to-end payment experience.

Buyers will also benefit from access to flexible working capital so instead of having to pay the supplier directly – Barclaycard offers the ability to fund the payment so the buyer can typically have up to 56 days to pay the balance. In addition, customers of SAP Ariba solutions that use Precisionpay will benefit from access to data-led procurement insights gained through SAP Cloud Platform and the SAP Analytics Cloud solution. These insights will help users make smarter payment and procurement decisions, with minimal impact or change to their own internal technical footprint.

Precisionpay capabilities are currently on offer and in use on a client by client basis for a selection of existing customers but Barclaycard wants the opportunity to expand the offering to more customers. To make this a reality – SAP Ariba was the network of choice. SAP Ariba is the world’s largest B2B marketplace where buyers and suppliers operate in more than 190 countries and trade $2.3 trillion in goods and services each year.

Existing Barclaycard customers, who are already part of the Ariba Network, can fully utilise Precisionpay without the need for a separate implementation process. The on-boarding process for new clients joining Precisionpay will be straightforward and is an integral development in the transformation delivered by Keytree. The move to SAP Ariba will also give Barclaycard instant access to a whole new market and a new set of customers who each will be given access to Precisionpay.
